BRIEFING

Tiny Taiwan turns out to be the origin point for over 400 million Austronesian-speaking people worldwide. Built to be fully interactive, fully experiential and fully engaging, the exhibition guides visitors through the past and culture of Austronesian peoples, helping them rediscover their own courage and dreams along the way — hitting sight, sound, touch, knowledge and feeling all at once. It includes a 24-meter curved-screen theater, immersive interactive art, and floating digital projections that blur real and virtual. Five thousand years of Austronesian culture, recreated with technology, comes fully to life at the "Formosa Culture Museum and World Austronesian Center" inside Banshan Dream Factory. Across eight interactive zones, the exhibition unfolds as one continuous story — hearing and seeing Austronesian dance and music, learning where the culture began, watching ancestors prepare to set sail, bravely face the ocean, and, after landing, watch the culture branch and grow — ending with a blessing from the ancestral spirits. Through interaction and imagery, visitors are invited to experience the full Austronesian story together.
