Blade Heart, Finding Xiao Lian — Novel-to-AR Panoramic Theater

BRIEFING

"Finding Xiao Lian" AR is adapted from Taiwanese author Huaiguan's original novel "Blade Heart," again combining live-action 4DViews capture with interactive design to build an AR piece viewable in full 360°. Through phone or tablet, the story's scenes appear right in front of the audience, letting each viewer act as their own director, free to choose the angle and distance they watch from and take in every detail of the scene. Building on the strong working relationship from the earlier VR project with the author, this new AR theater carried that momentum forward. The creative goal was to take the flat, film-style viewing experience and make it fully 4D — becoming one of Taiwan's first demonstration cases for AR interactive theater.
